What I love most about being a counsellor is sharing in the joy when my clients discover their own Eureka moment.

My career started as an Educator in Early Childhood (many years ago). I was fortunate to work alongside some amazing and inspiring professionals. I created many connections over the years with ‘my’ children and their families. Without realising I was paving my way towards my future in counselling. A large part of this role involved supporting families and working collaboratively ensuring successful growth and development.

When I started a family of my own, raising three sons, I worked alongside my husband in our family business in rural NSW. Again, unknowingly, I was pursuing the counselling path.

This role involved supporting our large community through the highs and lows of rural farming life; isolation, droughts, floods, fires and COVID. It seemed a natural progression to study counselling and there has been no looking back. The wealth of knowledge I have gained through lived experiences is invaluable.

I have always loved listening to people’s stories. The wonderful thing about counselling is once you start sharing your inner thoughts and feelings, the healing process begins. I particularly enjoy working with mothers. Supporting them on the journey of parenthood, which can be challenging on a good day.

I like to use a person-centred therapeutic approach. I believe that everyone is the expert of their own lives, stories and experiences. My goal is to make you feel seen, heard and understood, in a safe and non-judgmental environment. I work alongside my clients in reaching their desired goals, finding happiness, hope, peace and most importantly yourself.
